Position Overview:


As a Senior Consultant in our Data Management and Strategy team, you will play a critical role in helping our Financial Services clients leverage data as a strategic asset. You will work with cross-functional teams, often on a global basis, to develop and implement data management frameworks, strategies, and solutions that reduce data risk, drive business value and enhance decision-making capabilities. Our AI & Data team is dedicated to championing the potential and careers of individuals from all walks of life, providing support including flexible working arrangements .


The opportunity
In this Consulting role, you will work collaboratively with our clients to enhance their ability to solve complex business problems by exploiting data and analytics strategies and solutions.

  • Data Management & Strategy – Supporting our financial services clients manage AI & Data Risk, define AI & Data Strategies, implement Data Product solutions, design Target Operating Models and enable Data Offices to become transformational to their business
  • Support the build of a Data community - You will have the opportunity to engage with and represent EY at prominent networks and events and contribute to building an inclusive workforce by actively participating in communities like Women in Banking and Finance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Collaborate within client facing delivery teams on complex data transformation programs in Financial Services, covering roles such as AI & data strategy, data risk and control analysis, solution design, AI governance, and end-to-end implementation management.
  • Assist clients in executing their AI & Data strategy through deployment of modern Data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop and implement data management artifacts by establishing data governance requirements including data lineage discovery, data quality control design and measurement solutions and data privacy related activities.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative ey.ai data solutions and methodologies to enhance effectiveness and reduce costs.
  • Represent EY at industry events and networks, promoting our commitment to diversity and inclusion in AI and Data Management.
  • Support RFP responses and contribute to thought leadership articles for market engagement.
  • Working in diverse teams of professionals with different backgrounds
  • Contributing to thought leadership through white papers, point of views, and proof of concepts

  • Ability to meet deadlines, own deliverables and contribute to project delivery

Skills and attributes for success We’re looking for people with a passion for the delivery of AI and Data management solutions that deliver positive outcomes for customers, regulators and shareholders. You should excel in problem solving, enjoy teamwork, can demanding clients needs and communicate complex ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.

To qualify for the role, you must have some or all of the following:

  • Demonstratable interest and awareness in Data, AI & emerging associated technologies
  • Good problem solving, teamwork and communication skills, and an ability to communicate ideas effectively
  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Services, preferably Insurance, working with AI or Data delivery
  • Understanding of technology trends and implications on Financial Services firms, including data platforms, digital drivers, cloud architecture, integration tools & approaches, AI methods & techniques
  • Ability to articulate the challenges faced in large data transformation and proposing solutions to deliver effective value across the business
  • Some hands-on coding experience with SQL, Python or Scala, data visualisation tools would be advantageous
  • Relevant experience in Data Platform Technologies would be beneficial
  • Previous consulting experience would be a plus, but so would the curiosity and ambition to develop your career with a consulting role
