Senior Technical Program Manager (f/m/d)
About the opportunity
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager (f/m/d) to lead large, cross-team programs and drive alignment across engineering, product, and business stakeholders within the Product Development (“ProdDev”) organization.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager (f/m/d), you will own one or more strategic programs that span multiple teams and functions. This role demands strong ownership; you'll be responsible for driving decisions to closure, ensuring follow-through, identifying risks early, and course correcting when programs fall behind.
You will be accountable for program structure, execution, communication, and outcomes, bringing stability and continuity across long-running initiatives. Success in this role requires exceptional stakeholder management, the ability to influence without authority, and a strong grasp of program management fundamentals applied at scale.
While technical fluency is important, your primary value will come from driving alignment, surfacing risks early, managing dependencies, and enabling teams to deliver effectively together.
What to expect?
- Lead end-to-end program management for complex, multi-team technical initiatives, from strategy and planning through execution and delivery
- Primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, accountable for ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and alignment across engineering, product, security, legal and other business functions
- Break down high-level strategic objectives into clear program plans, including scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success metrics
- Coordinate and align multiple teams with different roadmaps, priorities, and constraints toward shared outcomes
- Responsible for driving and closing alignment decisions between multiple teams with different roadmaps, priorities and constraints to ensure shared outcomes
- Proactively identify risks, trade-offs, and bottlenecks; drive decision-making and resolution by bringing the right stakeholders together at the right time
- Establish and maintain program governance, including operating rhythms, status reporting, KPIs, and executive-ready communications.
- Ensure transparency and accountability by maintaining accurate program artifacts in tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Champion operational excellence, continuous improvement, and scalable program practices across the organization
What you need to be successful
- 7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or a similar role with a strong track record of leading large, cross-functional, multi-team programs
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, including influencing senior leaders and aligning diverse groups with competing priorities
- You align stakeholders despite disagreement, push back when appropriate, and move decisions forward by clearly defining priorities and trade-offs
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, bringing structure, clarity, and momentum
- Strong program management fundamentals, including dependency management, risk mitigation, roadmap alignment, and metrics-driven execution
- Solid technical fluency, with experience partnering closely with engineering teams (AI/ML, platforms, workflows, automations, analytics, or similar domains are a plus)
- Proficiency in program and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to stay clear and composed under pressure, navigate change, and communicate delivery risks effectively to executive audiences
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and familiarity with Confluence, Asana, Miro, or similar tools
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience in SaaS, cloud platforms, or AI-driven products
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications
- Experience working with globally distributed teams and stakeholders across time zones
