Year 4 Teacher & Maths Lead - Independent School - Richmond
Are you an experienced Year 4 Teacher with a passion for leading Maths across the curriculum? This independent school in Richmond is seeking a highly motivated Year 4 Teacher and Maths Lead to start January 2026. The successful candidate will combine excellent classroom teaching with leadership responsibilities to support the whole school’s Maths strategy.
Role Overview:
As the Year 4 Teacher, you will teach and inspire your class while fostering a love of learning and numeracy. As Maths Lead, you will develop and enhance Maths teaching across the school, monitor progress, and provide guidance to colleagues. This is a unique opportunity for a talented teacher to influence learning school-wide.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Year 4 lessons and ensure each child reaches their potential
- Lead and develop the Maths curriculum across all year groups
- Track pupil progress and use assessment data to inform teaching strategies
- Mentor and support colleagues in best practice for Maths teaching
- Collaborate with senior leadership on whole-school initiatives
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher with QTS/PGCE
- Strong track record teaching Year 4 and KS2 Maths
- Leadership experience in a school setting preferred
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Passionate about inspiring pupils and staff
