Senior Java Developer
Be the SME in a close knit, agile team. You will be the Java expert, utilising a Spring framework to build and evolve their internal systems. This work will have a genuine impact on the business, so you must have an awareness of what influence your code will have on the company. The wider technology would see you work with Ubuntu, MySQL and Docker, exposure to containerising your applications would be a massive plus. The organisation operates in financial services and is a certified B-corporation, with a strong focus on ethical and environmental investments.
You would join as the senior developer, focusing on the backend. Exposure and understanding of the frontend is ideal, Angular or React, the technologies in play. You’ll upskill the more junior members of the team, through a combination of mentoring and paired programming. This is your chance to be the go to person for everything backend and Java related. The company has an exciting list of projects, seeing you collaborate with the C-suite so your code makes a genuine effect on the direction of the business. The collaborative culture sees a flexible split of hybrid working, two days in the central London office being the norm. Core hours are in play, but you can start early or finish late as long as you are delivering your work. You’ll be rewarded with a bonus of up to 15%, pension contributions matched to 6% and life assurance of 4 times your salary. In addition, shares are available after completing a year of service.
