Patient Administrator
Job overview
The Bank business coordinator will be instrumental in providing professional, proactive and flexible support to the Chief Nurse and Executive Director of Midwif ery and the Nursing Directorate as well as the Chief Medical Officer and CMO Office, offering a range of effective administrative, budgetary and business support services. They will work with minimal supervision on specific projects and work streams to contribute to the delivery of the Trust’s objectives .
The Bank business coordinator with be a key member of the Corporate Team, with considerable freedom to act autonomously to ultimately free the director to focus on their own roles. To achieve this, the post holder will apply excellent judgement, discretion and initiative, combined with excellent organisational, prioritisation and analytical skills.
The Bank business coordinator will also offer effective day-to-day management of the CN office and CMO office , which will involve complex in-box and diary management, secretariat and other administration support as required .

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ4, Degree in secretarial, management, administration or business studies or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
Desirable criteria
- Prince 2 or equivalent qualification
Skills & Competencies
Essential criteria
- Excellent keyboard skills - typing speeds min 60wpm
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing at a high level
- Work professionally and with discretion, dealing confidently with senior management and clinicians.
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet etc.
- Experience in the NHS as a personal/executive assistant to a senior director or Board level officer.
- Significant experience of servicing, taking and transcribing formal minutes at high level/senior meetings
- Experience of producing detailed written reports and presentations
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of current NHS policies
- Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how this affects patients, visitors and staff
