Multi-Trade Operative – Drainage Engineer
Based in Hackney, London, E9 – Working across London
£40,248 - £42,367 per year
40 hours per week – Shifts to be worked from 8:00am to 16:30pm over a 6 day rolling rota
We have new and exciting opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative t o join our dedicated and newly established Rapid Response team in London. Supporting essential maintenance across our properties, you will play a vital role in delivering timely, high‑quality drainage works including unblocking, CCTV surveying, repairs, replacements and emergency response. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you’ll use your drainage expertise to resolve issues quickly, keep customers informed, and help us continue providing homes people can rely on.
Within the role, you will be covering all aspects of drainage repairs to both void and tenanted properties. With a company van and tools included the roles will cover areas in and around London.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative – Drainage Engineer will include:
- Attending occupied or void properties to carry out drainage repairs, fault fixing and maintenance duties
- Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
- Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Skills in the following discipline – Drainage Engineering
- PC literate and able to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
