Sociology Teacher Role in Islington (Outstanding Ofsted)
We are excited to be working with an Outstanding secondary school in Islington to recruit a high-calibre Sociology Teacher. This full-time, permanent position starts in April 2026 and represents an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to join a high-performing Social Sciences faculty. We are looking for a teacher with a creative, inspirational approach to delivering the curriculum, with the proven ability to lead students to success at KS5.

Responsibilities
Teach engaging Sociology lessons across KS4 and KS5 as a passionate specialist
Inspire and enthuse students to analyze social structures and achieve academic excellence
Collaborate with a department of specialist teachers to drive student progress
Use technology to enhance learning and engage students in contemporary social issues
Participate in a strong culture of professional development
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Sociology or a related Social Science discipline
PGCE or QTS
Proven experience in delivering high-quality Sociology lessons at KS5
Must have the right to work in the UK
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: £40,317 to £62,496 (Inner London)
Full-time, permanent position in a heavily oversubscribed school
