Curriculum: English (KS3 & KS4) and Media Studies (KS4 & KS5).
Salary: Outer London Main/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS).
The Opportunity
This unique dual-specialism role allows you to bridge the gap between traditional literacy and 21st-century media analysis. You will be responsible for delivering rigorous English lessons that develop student writing and analytical skills, alongside Media Studies units that explore film language, digital marketing, and social media trends .
The department is well-equipped with modern technology and media suites, providing students with the tools to both analyze and create their own media products. We Are Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
A specialist degree in English, Media Studies, Journalism, or Film .
Experience teaching English GCSE and Media Studies (GCSE or A-Level) .
Strong technical literacy and an understanding of contemporary media industries.
The ability to inspire students to engage with both "high" literature and "popular" culture.
The flexibility to start immediately or at short notice.
