About the Role
As the Exams Officer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering all aspects of exams within the school, ensuring compliance with examination boards’ requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and administering internal and external examinations

  • Managing exam timetables, entries, and room allocations

  • Communicating with exam boards, staff, and pupils regarding exam arrangements

  • Ensuring compliance with examination regulations and procedures

  • Maintaining accurate records of entries, results, and certificates

  • Supporting staff and pupils with exam queries and special arrangements

  • Preparing reports and analysis of exam outcomes for leadership teams

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Have strong organisational and administrative skills

  • Be detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping abilities

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with staff, pupils, and external bodies

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and school management systems

  • Have experience in exam administration or a school office role (desirable)

  • Be able to manage deadlines and work independently
