We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Practitioner to join a highly regarded primary school in Southwark. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic EYFS setting with children at the start of their educational journey. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute to a thriving and supportive team environment focused on children’s development, well-being, and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage and challenge children within the EYFS framework.
- Support children’s development in all areas of the curriculum, including communication, literacy, numeracy, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development.
- Plan and prepare stimulating activities that foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Observe and assess children’s progress regularly and use this information to inform next steps in planning.
- Provide a caring, supportive, and inclusive environment that ensures each child feels valued and safe.
- Work alongside the EYFS team to develop and implement new initiatives that enhance children’s learning experiences.
- Build positive relationships with parents, offering feedback and guidance to support learning at home.
- Maintain a high standard of classroom management, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working in an EYFS setting, with a good understanding of child development.
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and a commitment to creating high-quality learning experiences for young children.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- A caring, compassionate approach to working with children, with a focus on their overall well-being and development.
