SEN Teaching Assistant - EHCP & Complex Needs (Long‑Term)
Location: Tower Hamlets Employment type: Full time Pay: competitive At Teaching Personnel, we work with SEN‑focused primary schools where pupils with EHCPs, ASD, SEMH and complex needs require consistency, emotional regulation and skilled adult support. This is not a general Teaching Assistant role. It is a carefully matched, long‑term SEN position for educators whose skills deserve to be used properly. This role is not suitable for candidates seeking daily supply. The role- Supporting pupils with EHCPs and complex needs on a 1:1 and small‑group basis
- Using structured, regulation‑led approaches to reduce escalation and support engagement
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
- Providing calm, consistent support that reduces pressure on classrooms and staff Who we are looking for We are seeking experienced SEN professionals, including:
- SEN Teaching Assistants with EHCP experience
- SEMH or ASD specialists
- Staff from specialist schools, ARPs, PRUs or complex mainstream settings
- Professionals from care, youth work or residential backgrounds with strong regulation skills How Teaching Personnel works differently
- You are supported by a specialist SEN consultant who understands behaviour, regulation and school pressures
- Roles are designed for stability and continuity, not churn
- PAYE only, with competitive SEN‑weighted pay
- Ongoing consultant contact before, during and after placement Our responsibility is to ensure you are placed in a school where your skills are respected, used correctly and supported. Upskilling & professional development Long‑term placements only work when staff are developed, not depleted. Through Teaching Personnel you will access:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
