Commercial Manager

Location: Remote with 1-2 days per month in Portsmouth

Salary: Up to £80,000 w ith an annual bonus of up to 10% plus benefits

The Opportunity

We're supporting an innovative technology business operating at the forefront of immersive learning, simulation, and digital training solutions. The organisation develops cutting-edge virtual reality, simulation, and immersive technology products that help organisations improve training outcomes, accelerate learning, and modernise workforce capability across highly regulated and mission-critical environments.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to provide commercial and contractual leadership across a diverse portfolio of technology and software projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional who enjoys working within a growing SME environment, where they can influence business strategy whilst remaining close to operational delivery.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full commercial life cycle of projects, from opportunity identification and bid support through to contract negotiation, delivery oversight, and contract close-out. You'll work closely with senior leadership, project teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure robust commercial governance, effective risk management, and strong contractual performance.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Officer role.
• Strong contract negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing commercial risk and governance frameworks.
• Excellent understanding of financial and commercial principles.
• The ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a growing organisation.
• Experience supporting complex technology, engineering, defence, software, or digital transformation programmes.
