The role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior People Manager to join us on a fixed-term basis to provide maternity cover for 12 months, starting in February 2026.
In this senior, strategic role, you’ll lead our People function during an exciting period of growth and change, working closely with our leadership team to deliver impactful HR initiatives that align with our organisational goals, foster a thriving workplace culture, and ensure compliance with UK employment law.
💰 Salary Range : £55K - £65K
🏢 Location:  This role is based in London. Our mandatory in-office days are Wednesdays & Fridays. 
 As our Senior People Manager, you will: 
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Shape and deliver people strategy: you’ll design and implement strategies that align with business priorities and drive real impact.
- Set People team OKRs: Make sure the team’s objectives tie directly to company goals and deliver measurable results.
- Work closely with leadership: Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, succession, and talent development to future-proof the business.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Be a trusted advisor: Support managers on complex employee relations issues with fairness and clarity.
- Ensure compliance: Keep us on track with UK employment law, ACAS guidance, GDPR, and the Equality Act.
- Promote fairness and inclusivity: Embed transparency and equity in all HR processes.
Performance, Talent & Development:
- Drive a high-performance culture: Oversee performance management and coaching to help employees and managers thrive.
- Lead development initiatives: Run leadership development programmes and succession planning to grow talent internally.
- Coach managers: Guide leaders on goal-setting, feedback, and development planning.
Talent Acquisition & Retention:
- Lead critical hiring: Own recruitment for senior and business-critical roles.
- Strengthen our employer brand: Help us attract top talent and build a reputation as a great place to work.
- Implement retention strategies: Keep turnover low and ensure employees are engaged and motivated.
Compensation, Benefits & HR Analytics:
- Oversee pay and benefits: Make sure our packages are competitive and compliant with UK regulations.
- Provide insights: Use HR data and KPIs to guide decisions, provide actionable recommendations, and support leadership.
Change, Engagement & Wellbeing:
- Lead change initiatives: Ensure smooth transitions during periods of organisational change.
- Champion engagement and wellbeing: Run initiatives that support mental health, inclusivity, and a positive workplace culture.
- Promote safety and support: Make sure health, safety, and well-being are priorities across the business.

- In-person task with Umar + Lizzie (Marketing + Sales Director (1 hour)
- Final interview with Sam (Co-founder & CEO) + Adam (Co-founder & CTO) to discuss what you might bring to the role and how you might embody our values at LmC (30 minutes).
