About the role

This role is for senior/principal officers, aspiring managers or anyone looking to fully utilise and develop their management skills further. You will have operational responsibility to review and allocate work and coordinate local and regional projects. You will supervise and support junior officers and review all investigations for the team. Other management duties to support the team manager will include business planning, budget management, risk management and dealing with new and emerging issues.

About you

As a qualified trading standards officer, ideally with CTSI practitioner status. You will have a sound knowledge of trading standards law and experience of leading complex investigations. Sound judgement and decision making are key as well as the need to apply critical thinking and innovation, to help shape service delivery and to deliver positive outcomes for residents, businesses and consumers.

Role Specific Qualifications:

You will need to hold either the Diploma in Trading Standards (DTS), the Diploma in Consumer Affairs (DCA), the Diploma in Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards (DCATS) or equivalent.
