The Role – Graduate SEN Mentor
- Full-time, long-term role starting immediately
- Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring for pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and additional needs
- Support students with social and emotional development, confidence-building, and behaviour regulation
- Encourage independence and resilience, both in and out of the classroom
- Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement personalised support plans
- Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive
Person Specification
- Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject (essential)
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a proactive and supportive approach
- A genuine passion for SEN education and helping vulnerable learners succeed
