Salary: £36,000–£41,000 per annum
School HR Experience Wanted
We're working with a secondary school in Havering looking for an experienced HR Officer to join its support team immediately.
This is a varied school-based HR role covering the employee lifecycle, recruitment and compliance. The position will initially be temporary, with the possibility of a permanent appointment for someone who proves to be a strong fit.
The Role
You'll support the school with:
Recruitment and safer recruitment processes
New starter and onboarding administration
Contracts and employee documentation
Maintaining HR records and systems
DBS and pre-employment checks
Absence and sickness administration
Supporting employee relations matters
Maintaining the Single Central Record
Responding to staff HR queries
Supporting the HR Manager and senior leadership team
What You'll Need
Previous HR experience within a school or education setting is essential.
We're looking for someone highly organised, discreet and confident handling confidential information. Knowledge of school HR procedures, safer recruitment and the Single Central Record would be particularly useful.
