Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons to primary and secondary students
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork
- Develop and implement differentiated PE programs that cater to the individual needs and abilities of students
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth and improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to organize and facilitate school-wide sports events and competitions
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on students' progress and promote parental involvement
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in physical education and implement innovative teaching methods
Requirements
- A degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching PE in a primary or secondary school setting
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum for physical education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo the screening process
