Audit Methodology Director/Leadership Role- Flexible on Location/Agile Working- £Competitive six figure salary+bonus
Our hugely successful mid market client is seeking to hire a talented Audit Quality Director who thrives in a dynamic environment and embraces the chance to implement change and tackle complex challenges.

You’ll be surrounded by passionate professionals who are dedicated to quality, making a difference and driving improvement. The robustness of the firm’s audit methodology in the firm’s system of quality management is vital for underpinning the delivery of consistently high-quality audits.
You will play a lead role in the ongoing development of their audit methodology to keep the firm at the forefront of compliance with requirements and standards and to support the improvement of the quality of audit delivery across the firm.
You will work closely with other members of the technical team, the audit quality team, the Audit Efficiency Group and the firm’s Audit Council as necessary.
Main responsibilities
- Lead the research, identification, prioritisation and design of developments to the firm’s audit methodology, including sector specific methodology, ensuring that the methodology drives improvements in audit quality and is in compliance with ISAs (UK) and other appropriate requirements.
- Identify and prioritise the need for methodology guidance in response to audit quality findings, including liaison with the audit quality and technical query teams.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the firm’s audit software including updates for methodology changes, enhancements for additional local requirements and liaising with the global network.(9th largest in the world)
- Review communications to the audit practice drafted by the audit methodology team.
- Review relevant training materials prepared by the audit methodology team, liaising with the technical training manager regarding slots for such training and assisting with delivery on-line and in person.
- Liaison with the firm’s regulators in relation to audit methodology matters.
