Technical Officer - Pest Control

Main Purpose of the job:
To provide an efficient and responsive pest control service for residential and commercial premises within the borough.
Ensure that relevant statutory responsibilities, Council and Directorate policies are effectively implemented.
Knowledge:
Detailed knowledge of public health and nuisance pest species, their habitat, biology, significance and measures used for their control.
Detailed knowledge of Health and safety and other relevant legislation.
Aptitude and Skills:
Good oral and written communication skills.
Able to organise, plan and prioritise own workload.
Able to keep accurate records.
Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
Good practical experience and understanding of pest control operations and methodology.
Experience of dealing with the public in a diverse cultural environment. General Education:
Must hold a recognised Pest Control qualification or have relevant experience in the field. Circumstances:
Able to work evenings and weekends.
Must hold full UK Driving License.
