Senior Account Director FTC

As a Senior Account Director , you will play a pivotal role in leading client relationships, overseeing strategic project delivery, and driving business growth. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality execution of global and digital campaigns, mentoring teams, and fostering collaboration across internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise in healthcare communications, financial management, and innovative thinking will be key to maintaining and expanding agency success.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Relationship Management

  • Set the overall strategic direction for client accounts. Aligns agency priorities with client business objectives, considers long-term impact. See as a strategic partner by clients. Empowers and inspires teams to achieve great work.
  • Lead account growth by identifying new opportunities and enhancing service delivery.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, objectives, and market dynamics.

Committed to Client Always

  • Is an ambassador for the agency. Fluent in understanding client needs, beliefs and attitudes and flexing accordingly. Consistency drives client success and makes clients look good.

Strategic & Commercial Acumen

  • Develop and execute strategic plans that drive measurable business impact.
  • Owner of client and job forecasting and tracking, demonstrating accountability and precision. Fluent in the clients financial management systems and MSAs. Oversees Informed decisions based on data and SOPs.
  • Ensuring teams are adhering to sound financial process

Project & Team Leadership

  • Direct large-scale campaigns with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Ensure teams are aligned with project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Act as a mentor for junior team members and support senior leadership.

Innovation & Digital Expertise

  • Drive the integration of digital solutions and emerging technologies into client projects.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the digital landscape and its applications in advertising.
  • Championscross-departmental innovation, sharing learnings and setting new standards.

Compliance & Industry Knowledge

  • Ensure all teams adhere to industry regulations, including the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Stay informed of best practices in healthcare advertising and regulatory frameworks.
  • Cross-fertilise

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree Educated
  • Experience at SAD level
  • Strong healthcare communications experience
  • The ability to coordinate multiregional client teams – globally and locally
  • Working knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice and the ability to ensure adherence to it
  • Strong written communications skills
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • An excellence understanding of the digital landscape, how to run digital projects and how to apply Gen AI
  • Strong Financial acumen
  • The ability to develop and effectively communicate project timelines.
  • Attention to detail and good proofreading skills
  • Proactivity – the ability to anticipate client requirements
  • Solution focused – suggestion of ideas and recommendations where appropriate
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team effectively
