A lovely, relaxed young family in Primrose Hill are looking for a kind, caring and energetic nanny to join them on a long-term basis, caring for their delightful 3-year-old son and 12-month-old twin boys.

This is a lovely role for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is looking to become part of a warm and welcoming family. Mum and Dad are both around, so the position will be a combination of sole charge and shared care. Previous experience caring for twins, or perhaps working in a nanny share with 2 babies at the same time, would be a real advantage.

Although the nanny will be very hands-on with all 3 children, the main focus of the role will be their 3-year-old. He attends nursery 5 mornings a week and is a very happy, smiley and curious little boy. He loves music, local classes, Lego and imaginative play, and the family would love to find someone who will really engage with him, encourage his curiosity and continue supporting his development.

The twins are now at a wonderful age where they are reaching lots of new milestones, so the nanny should be confident with babies and enjoy encouraging their development through play, activities and plenty of interaction.

We are looking for someone naturally loving, patient and nurturing, but also energetic and lots of fun. The family favour a calm and gentle approach to discipline and would love someone who can set appropriate boundaries in a kind and understanding way.

The right nanny will be a self-starter who is confident taking initiative and planning the children's days. Someone who loves being outdoors, going to parks and playgrounds, finding local classes and arranging playdates would suit the family really well. They would particularly love someone sociable who enjoys getting out and about and meeting other local nannies and children.

Cooking is also an important part of the role. The family would love someone who genuinely enjoys being in the kitchen and is confident preparing a wide variety of fresh, healthy meals, batch cooking and introducing the children to different flavours and cuisines.

The family travel regularly and have homes in Cape Town and the South of France, so the nanny must be happy to travel with them for up to 4 weeks at a time. A confident swimmer is essential.

Day-to-day duties will include getting the children ready in the mornings, nappy changing, following their routines, preparing meals, bottle and baby-equipment hygiene, nursery duties, organising the children's wardrobes and play areas, taking them to classes and activities, reading, imaginative play and creating fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.

Above all, the family are looking for someone who will bring a lovely sense of fun and adventure to the children's lives while always keeping their safety and wellbeing at the forefront. Someone with clear communication, a positive attitude and a genuine love of children who would like to stay and grow with the family long term.

Candidates must have an up-to-date DBS, First Aid, fluent English and excellent references. British or EU passport required due to the family's travel.
