Strategy & Operations Programme Manager

Aquent
London

We are seeking an experienced Strategy & Operations Programme Manager to join a high-performing Marketing Operations function within a wider Strategy & Operations team. You will work alongside a senior group of programme managers driving strategic marketing initiatives across EMEA, supporting stakeholders ranging from VP level to individual marketing managers.

This role sits at the intersection of programme management, data analytics, AI-driven transformation, and marketing operations, with significant autonomy and visibility.

The Team

You will join a team of seven programme managers responsible for leading strategic marketing programmes, operational improvements, and transformation initiatives. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and highly cross-functional, supporting around 500 marketers across multiple product areas.

Role Purpose

The Programme Manager will lead end-to-end strategic initiatives that enhance marketing effectiveness through data, insight, and AI-enabled workflows. You will be responsible for assessing operational gaps, aligning stakeholders, shaping programme structure, and driving execution. A key focus is operationalising AI for marketers, enabling more efficient campaign planning, insights generation, and tool usage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder programmes from scoping through execution, ensuring alignment across senior and junior marketing stakeholders.
  • Translate strategic objectives into structured operational programmes, frameworks, and workstreams.
  • Develop dashboards, analytical models, and workflows that support marketers’ daily decision-making.
  • Map, test, and promote AI-driven use cases, including the creation of agents, prompts, and automation to streamline manual processes.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, comms specialists, and product teams to ensure programme success.
  • Support the design and rollout of tools and resources that enable marketers to quickly access the right content, points of contact, and insights.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations, documentation, and updates for leaders across EMEA.
  • Engage with global and regional teams, with occasional travel within EMEA.
  • Ramp up quickly in a dynamic environment and operate with a high degree of autonomy.

What Success Looks Like

  • Rapid understanding of team priorities and ongoing initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently while building trust with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated influence across multiple levels and functions.
  • Delivery of clear, data-driven insights and dashboards that support marketing efficiency.
  • Meaningful contribution to the organisation’s wider AI-driven transformation.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 6–12+ years’ experience in programme management, strategy, or operations roles.
  • Strong background in consulting, tech, strategy & operations, or marketing operations.
  • Demonstrable experience working with data, including dashboarding and analysis in Google Sheets.
  • Ability to translate complex data and insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across seniority levels.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed, or global environments.

Preferred:

  • Experience within a major US or global technology company.
  • Understanding of AI tools and their applications in marketing contexts.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising, marketing workflows, or marketing operations.
  • Experience working across EMEA or with distributed teams.

Soft Skills

  • Trust-building and strong interpersonal skills
  • High standards of execution and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Collaborative mindset with a solutions-oriented approach
