Document Controller

We are urgently seeking a Senior Document Controller to join a leading construction team on an immediate freelance basis. This is a full-time, office-based role, managing documentation across multiple software platforms for live and upcoming projects.

You’ll be working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth document flow, compliance, and system integrity across a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage project documentation using multiple EDM systems (e.g. Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint, SharePoint)

* Set up and maintain document control processes across concurrent projects

* Ensure version control, metadata accuracy, and compliance with project protocols

* Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors – client-facing experience is essential

* Maintain document registers, trackers, and audit trails

* Provide support and training to project teams on internal systems

Requirements

* Minimum 6 years’ experience in the construction industry

* Strong working knowledge of multiple document control platforms

* Proven experience managing documentation across multiple projects

* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

* Ability to hit the ground running and work independently
