The private client tax team in this very successful and profitable large, independent London based firm, is continuing to see high levels of business activity. The existing client base is high quality and diverse and includes both HNW and UHNW domestic and international clients. There is also a high demand from potential new clients through recommendation and referral via its international network.

The partners are keen to bring an additional manager on board to ensure that there is enough experience in the team to ensure a sensible work/life balance (something which is very important to them), and to enable directors and partners to delegate work when appropriate. This ensures that the partners have more time to develop the client base and ensures that more junior members of the team continue to develop technically through working with partners and directors on more complex assignments.

As a tax manager you will have responsibility for your own portfolio, working across both compliance and advisory projects. Although reporting to the personal tax partners, you will also work with a number of partners, both tax and non-tax, ensuring that you develop wider relationships across the entire firm.

The tax team is a close-knit one, everyone mucks in and supports each other. The firm has a hybrid working policy of 2 days per week in the office to enable for team development and relationship building. Ideally you will be professionally qualified but if not, the firm will support and encourage, and will provide a complete study package. Promotions are entirely merit based and can happen quickly.
