Your role
- Carry out painting and decorating duties to ensure a high standard of decor in accordance with contract and service specifications to multiple care homes within a specified region.
- Duties include preparing surfaces and surrounding areas by washing walls, repairing holes or removing old paint in an efficient and tidy manner, moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of a project, and keeping a tidy work area at all time
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and desired look for a project. Calculate the amount of materials and time required, source and purchase appropriate supplies from approved vendors and provide regular, accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer ensuring accurate work records are completed
- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications.
- Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed, in line with agreed processes within contract and service specifications.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets.
Your skills
- A current driving licence
- Recent experience in similar role
- Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
