Role Information
The school is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Officer to manage, maintain, and analyse school performance and assessment data.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the school MIS (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom), ensuring data accuracy
Producing assessment, attainment, and progress reports for stakeholders
Supporting teachers with assessment entry, data uploads, and training
Overseeing census returns, exam data, and statutory reporting
Creating dashboards and data summaries for leadership and governors
Ensuring GDPR compliance and maintaining secure data procedures
Coordinating internal data cycles and deadlines
Providing technical troubleshooting for MIS queries
Supporting timetabling, attendance reporting, and scheduling tasks
You will collaborate closely with academic leads, the exams officer, and SLT to ensure the school’s data is organised, accurate, and purposeful.
Requirements
Experience working with school MIS systems
Strong analytical, numerical, and IT skills
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to present data clearly to non-specialists
Experience with Excel, spreadsheets, and report tools
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality
