Role Information

The school is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Officer to manage, maintain, and analyse school performance and assessment data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the school MIS (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom), ensuring data accuracy

  • Producing assessment, attainment, and progress reports for stakeholders

  • Supporting teachers with assessment entry, data uploads, and training

  • Overseeing census returns, exam data, and statutory reporting

  • Creating dashboards and data summaries for leadership and governors

  • Ensuring GDPR compliance and maintaining secure data procedures

  • Coordinating internal data cycles and deadlines

  • Providing technical troubleshooting for MIS queries

  • Supporting timetabling, attendance reporting, and scheduling tasks

You will collaborate closely with academic leads, the exams officer, and SLT to ensure the school’s data is organised, accurate, and purposeful.

Requirements

  • Experience working with school MIS systems

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and IT skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Ability to present data clearly to non-specialists

  • Experience with Excel, spreadsheets, and report tools

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks
