Contract type: Fixed-term contract until 16 February 2027

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Salary: 17,491.50 per annum (14.95 per hour)

Work pattern: 3 days per week, including weekends. Typical shifts are 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm.

Interview dates: 6, 7 and 8 October 2026. Additional interview dates can be arranged if required.

Potential start date: As soon as possible.

Working at Morden Hall Park offers the opportunity to be part of a friendly, supportive and passionate catering team serving thousands of visitors throughout the year. Our food and beverage operation includes a busy caf, seasonal kiosks and event catering, all set within a beautiful National Trust property. This role reports directly to the Chef and offers the chance to work with high-quality ingredients, contribute ideas and develop skills in a fast-paced environment while helping create memorable experiences for our visitors. This role has no direct reports.

As a Cook, your focus will be in the kitchen, helping to prepare and present delicious food from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Your food will be served directly to visitors.

Using the framework of our National Trust Cookbook, youll prepare, measure and mix ingredients. Youll help with deliveries and with keeping the kitchen clean, to be compliant with health and safety legislation and to make sure that service runs smoothly.

Well give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
