M&E Engineer

Hollis
London

At Hollis, our MEP Engineering team works across some of the UK's most interesting commercial, industrial and mixed-use property portfolios, delivering practical technical advice throughout the property lifecycle.

We're looking for an M&E Engineer or Senior M&E Engineer to join our growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload combining technical surveys, dilapidations, due diligence and engineering consultancy.

The role:

You will work closely with surveyors, project managers and technical specialists to provide expert M&E advice across a broad range of instructions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out M&E building and condition surveys

  • Preparing reports for technical due diligence and acquisitions

  • Supporting dilapidations assessments and settlement negotiations

  • Inspecting mechanical and electrical installations and advising on repair, reinstatement and lifecycle requirements

  • Undertaking schedules of condition and pre-acquisition surveys

  • Advising clients on maintenance liabilities, compliance and asset performance

  • Working alongside our Building Surveying and Dilapidations teams on lease-end and refurbishment projects

  • Developing client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services

Your profile:

We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering

  • Experience carrying out building services surveys within the commercial property sector

  • Knowledge of dilapidations, landlord & tenant matters or technical due diligence

  • Experience preparing technical reports for clients

  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

  • Chartered status (MCIBSE, MIET or equivalent) or ambition to achieve chartership

Our preference is to recruit directly wherever possible. Should this role be approved for support from external recruitment partners, we will contact our PSL agencies accordingly.

Please note that we do not accept unsolicited CVs from agencies. Effective introduction of a candidate will only be accepted if it has been requested to submit CV’s in relation to a specific vacancy. Any speculative submissions will not incur a fee. For any queries, kindly reach out to the appropriate Talent Acquisition team member.
