Barista
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-time About Us: Our client is a new and vibrant coffee shop based in Streatham, proudly specialising in premium African coffee beans. There mission is to bring the rich flavours, heritage, and warmth of African coffee culture to South London. We’re looking for passionate, customer-focused individuals to join our growing team and help us create an exceptional coffee experience for every guest. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and serve a wide range of espresso-based and filter coffee drinks to a consistently high standard. * Educate customers about our African coffee beans, origins, and brewing methods. * Provide outstanding customer service and build rapport with regular guests. * Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming workspace at all times. * Operate coffee machines and grinders with care, ensuring quality control. * Handle cash and card transactions accurately. * Support with stock management, including ordering and restocking supplies. * Work collaboratively with the team to create a positive and inclusive environment. Requirements: * Previous experience as a barista (specialty coffee experience preferred). * Strong passion for coffee and interest in African coffee culture. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Attention to detail and pride in delivering quality beverages. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team. * Flexible availability, including weekends.
