Job Title: Controls Engineer

Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office)

Salary: £60,000

Overview

The company is scaling rapidly and is looking for a Controls Engineer to play a key role in developing, optimising, and maintaining automated systems across its operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain control systems for automated industrial processes
• Program and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs (e.g., TIA Portal, S7)
• Integrate and support robotic systems within production environments
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to deliver robust automation solutions
• Support commissioning, testing, and continuous improvement of systems
• Diagnose and resolve control system faults to minimise downtime
• Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices for controls engineering
• Assist in scaling automation capabilities as the business grows

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience working with Siemens PLCs (essential)
• Experience with industrial robotics (programming, integration, or maintenance)
• Strong understanding of control systems, automation architecture, and industrial communication protocols
• Experience within HVAC systems or building management systems (desirable)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on engineering mindset
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
