Finance Manager
As the Finance Manager based in Acton, London W3 you will be responsible forThis role is central to ensuring financial accuracy, statutory compliance, and high-quality financial insight that supports operational and strategic decision making across the UK & Ireland business. It reports to the General Manager (UK & Ireland) and is based at our Acton offices, this senior position includes responsibility for leading and developing a team of two staff members responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general finance administration and logistics.The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and forecasts;
- Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet through timely reconciliations and effective financial controls;
- Analysing financial performance, including detailed variance and trend analysis;
- Identifying the underlying drivers of business performance, together with areas of risk and opportunity;
- Preparing year-end financial statements and supporting reconciliations;
- Oversight of cash flow management and financial controls
- Managing tax compliance, statutory reporting and the annual external audit process;
- Acting as the principal point of contact for the external auditors;
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and related reconciliations;
- Preparing annual budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators;
- Submitting corporation tax and other statutory returns;
- Processing the monthly payroll;
- Leading motivating and reviewing the work of the finance and logistics team to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance; and
- Maintaining and improving financial systems and internal processes
- Communicating effectively with the finance team, departmental managers, the General Manager and Directors.
