Consultant, Landscape Architect / Landscape Planner - Scotland

  • Being an integral part of a vibrant, ambitious and friendly team.
  • Independently managing smaller projects and supporting delivery of specific tasks within larger projects.
  • Prepare technical information for landscape infrastructure, development and improvement projects, which may include:
  • Strategic and feasibility/concept studies.
  • Landscape and visual assessment (LVIA) for both linear and site-based projects.
  • Townscape and visual assessment (TVIA).
  • Preliminary and detailed design including general arrangement drawings, hard and soft construction detailing, schedules and specifications to support planning applications.
  • Tender and construction packages, construction and post-construction inspections.
  • Support the continued development of relationships with existing and new clients in public and private sectors.
  • Support the preparation of bids ranging from small to complex multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Manage and delegate project work to junior members of the team.
  • Client-facing role involving design advice, attending workshops and stakeholder events.
  • Join internal multi-disciplinary working groups promoting innovation, excellence and thought leadership.

    Degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
  • Postgraduate diploma or Masters qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
  • Experience delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments.
  • Experience in successful delivery of landscape and urban design projects (desirable).
  • Experience managing landscape design during the construction phase (desirable).
  • Excellent technical skills with proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Fluent spoken English with excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.

    Hybrid working - up to two days a week from home with modern office collaboration.
