Cleaning Operative

LOCATION: Surrey Quay, London

PAY RATE: £13.85 per hour

SHIFT PATTERN: 5 on 2 off - Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm, 30 hours per week

OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION

ABM at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre are looking for a hardworking and reliable person to join the housekeeping team. The team are responsible for providing customers with a Centre that is clean and well maintained, providing a clean and managed environment. The person will be able to provide great team support as well as interact with the team already established onsite. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• To ensure that all internal / external duties are carried out are in accordance with ABM and Surrey Quays health and safety guidelines. 

• To complete housekeeping duties to a quality that meets the expectation of ABM and Surrey Quays. 

• To be clean and smart in appearance whilst always wearing the provided uniform and PPE representing ABM and the Surrey Quays to the fullest. 

• To provide great customer service and look to support colleagues where opportunity arises. 

• To work within the existing team and complete tasks as instructed via management. 

• To complete ad-hoc duties as directed and when required. 

• To represent Surrey Quays and ABM to the required high standards. 

Person Specification: 

Essential –

Strong communication skills both written and verbal. 

Ability to work independently and to your own initiative. 

To be flexible towards working hours.

Time keeping and punctuality essential. 

Smart and clean appearance 

Desirable – (Training will be given) 

Experience of working within the cleaning industry would be advantageous. 
Knowledge of use of Baling machinery and Compactors. 

COSHH training would be advantageous. 

Experience in Customer Service.
