Primary Teacher - Special Needs School - Chiswick - MLD - Full-Time - December Start

A supportive and inclusive Special Needs School in Chiswick is seeking a passionate and skilled Primary Teacher to join their dedicated team. The school caters for pupils with Moderate to Complex Learning Difficulties (MLD/CLD) and is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential through personalised learning and a nurturing environment.

Primary Teacher Responsibilities:

• Lead a small, well-supported primary class with a range of learning needs.

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with individual EHCPs.

• Use creative, multisensory, and child-centred approaches to support progress and engagement.

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and specialist staff.

• Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment.

Primary Teacher Attributes:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Experience teaching pupils with MLD, SLD, or complex learning needs (school will consider strong primary mainstream teachers with SEN experience).

• Strong behaviour management and a nurturing, flexible approach.

• Ability to commit to a full-time, long-term role.

• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
