MSc Induction Week
New Student Welcome plays a crucial in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for incoming students at Bayes Business School. As the first point of contact for new students, you will assist with orientation activities, guide students through campus, and help them acclimate to their new environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for producing, printing, and issuing student ID cards.
Duties and responsibilities
• Reception & Greeting:
• Welcome new students and their families at the university reception.
• Provide friendly and helpful information about orientation schedules, campus facilities, and key contacts.
• Answer initial inquiries and direct students to the appropriate departments for further assistance.
• Campus Navigation:
• Be stationed on various floors and key locations around the campus to offer guidance and directions to new students.
• Assist students in locating classrooms, administrative offices, and other essential facilities.
• Ensure that new students are aware of important areas such as the library, student services, and dining halls.
• Student ID Card Issuance:
• Operate the student card production system, ensuring that all new students receive their ID cards promptly.
• Verify student information, take ID photos, and print student cards accurately.
• Distribute student ID cards and provide instructions on their usage and benefits.
Skills and experience
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Friendly, approachable demeanour with a passion for helping others.
• Basic technical skills for operating ID card production equipment (training will be provided)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
