Trainee Stack Emissions Monitoring Technician , Romford

Are you interested in Air & Emissions? We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee to join our UKAS accredited Air & Emissions team. As a Trainee Stack Emissions Monitoring Technician you'll be supporting our experts with the testing and monitoring of building foundations at the forefront of a variety of projects. This is a great opportunity to train and develop your skills in a specialised area, aid professional progression, and get stuck in with some exciting projects across the UK in a hands-on learning environment.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Monitoring emissions to documented procedures, published standards and protocols and industry best practice
• Preparing detailed and accurate technical reports for the client
• Working to SOCOTEC's Health & Safety Policies and customers' site rules and procedures contained in the SOCOTEC Quality Manual
• Undertaking any equipment maintenance, calibration, or kit preparation tasks, as required plus laboratory duties and report writing

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• A degree or equivalent in an environmental/scientific discipline
• An interest to develop a career in stack emissions monitoring using manual sampling and instrumental analysing techniques
• A desire to work outdoors and at heights on occasions at a variety of industrial locations, which can be physically and mentally challenging
• Availability to work away from home during the working week for some days during each month
• A full driving licence, and a flexible and positive attitude

Our UKAS accredited Air & Emissions team work throughout the UK conducting industrial emissions testing.
