Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join an outstanding secondary school in Southwark as Teaching Assistants. This role involves working with students aged 11-18 who have SEND, providing invaluable support and assistance within the classroom environment.
Position: Teaching Assistant (SEND) Location: Southwark, London School Rating: Outstanding Age Range: 11-18
Responsibilities:
- Assist and support students with SEND in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning objectives.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement individualised learning plans and accommodations for students.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons and activities.
- Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to meet students' needs effectively.
Requirements:
- A degree qualification (minimum 2:1) in any subject.
- Passion for working with children and young people, particularly those with SEND.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of students.
