People Lead

Converge
London

Converge is hiring a People Lead to help shape and scale our team as we grow. You’ll own the People function end-to-end – from evolving our strategy and supporting our managers, to building inclusive, high-performing teams and making Converge a brilliant place to work.

We're looking for someone who is searching for the career defining role, the chance to be a key part of something extraordinary and make a real difference.

About Converge

We are on a mission to decarbonise concrete and build the future more efficiently, safely, and sustainably. We are currently focused on concrete—one of the world’s largest contributors to global carbon emissions (>8%)—and we tackle this with two hardware-enabled and AI-based SaaS products: ConcreteDNA and PrecastDNA. As a team, we are passionate about cutting-edge digital innovation, and we’re driven by the opportunity to make a major impact in an industry ripe for disruption.

The Role

  • Own all things People - from driving our people strategy forward and ensuring alignment with company goals to hiring best in class talent - this role will give you the opportunity to flex and develop all of your people muscles!
  • Being a proactive partner to our Founders, Leadership team and Managers.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen employee satisfaction and enhance Convergian culture.
  • Continue to evolve transparent people processes that power our high performance culture and elevate employee experience, using data to spot opportunities and drive improvements.
  • Own and actively manage live roles; continuously evaluating and improving practices to ensure an exceptional and cutting edge approach which prioritises candidate experience.
  • Own all reporting & analysis on everything people, and employee record keeping, quarterly OKRS, documentation and filing (incl contracts, Visas, joining, leaving etc).
  • Confidently navigate employment law and ensure legal compliance - you feel comfortable navigating any and all people issues with ease.
  • Partner closely with our Finance team providing updates on any changes which impact payroll or resourcing plans.
  • Lead our small but mighty People team.

Requirements

  • You’re an experienced People professional with 4+ years experience working in tech start ups / scale ups, at least 12m of which should be in talent acquisition. You’re passionate about cultivating an inclusive culture where the best and brightest can thrive.
  • Excellent emotional intelligence and empathy, this role is all about working with people so we expect you to be able to understand, engage and inspire employees at all levels.
  • You pride yourself on your strong attention to detail, data literacy + analytical decision making.
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes.
  • You thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment – this is your happy place!
  • You have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Location: London (3 days per week at Converge HQ in Blackfriars, 2 days from home)

Benefits

  • Salary: Up to £80k
  • A collaborative, dynamic and hybrid work environment.
  • 25 days + Bank Holidays. We also close the office between Christmas and New Year so you can spend more time with your loved ones.
  • Additional benefits include: Company pension, enhanced family leave, private healthcare through AXA and a Cycle to Work Scheme so you can help reduce emissions but still get from A to B easily.
  • An array of Convergian led clubs you can join from running to board games, and in person events throughout the year so you can have a chance to learn more about your fellow Convergians.
  • A fun, inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity in all its forms, and where everyone can bring their whole selves to work and be treated fairly, equitably and respectfully.
