YOUR ROLE

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Lead the development of market‑relevant consulting propositions and thought leadership, identifying new opportunities, emerging challenges, and sector trends within Telecommunications.
  • Build, manage, and grow C‑level client relationships; act as the senior point of contact to shape strategic engagements and win new consulting business.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end consulting project delivery — from scoping and solution design through execution — ensuring high‑quality outcomes within budget and timelines.
  • Drive sales performance and pipeline growth, including account strategy development and achieving revenue targets within Telecom-focused consulting portfolios.
  • Provide sector expertise in Telecom (e.g., networks, customer experience, digital transformation), guiding clients with actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Proven experience selling and delivering consulting solutions, with the ability to confidently conduct C‑suite‑level discussions and influence strategic decisions.
  • Proven expertise in at least one of the following domains: Networks, Data, Customer Experience, B2B Growth, Cost Transformation.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including coaching teams, setting delivery standards, and managing multi-disciplinary consulting engagements.
  • Deep Telecommunications sector knowledge, ideally gained in a top‑tier consulting firm or in the strategy/innovation function of a leading industry operator.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to identify market gaps, craft compelling value propositions, and convert opportunities into revenue.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, capable of synthesising complex issues into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery.
  • Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you’ll be generating c .£2m of consulting revenues (Director) /c.4m of consulting revenues (Vice President).
