Senior Events Manager
We are looking for an experienced Senior Events Manager to shape standout experiences for Ultra High Net Worth clients within HSBC Global Private Bank. You will lead the strategy and delivery of high-profile events that deepen client engagement, showcase our expertise, and protect the HSBC brand through strong governance and risk management. This is a senior, globally connected role working across regions and with best-in-class agency partners.
Key responsibilities
- Define and deliver the UHNW events strategy, aligning programmes to business priorities, client needs, and HSBC brand standards.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of flagship events, including planning, logistics, production, guest journey, and on-the-day execution to an exceptional standard.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships across Private Bank and partner teams globally ensuring a joined-up approach and clear decisioning.
- Oversee agency and supplier performance, including selection, negotiation, contract management, and TPEM-related responsibilities.
- Own budgets and financial governance, ensuring robust forecasting, cost control, and value-for-money outcomes.
- Embed compliance and operational risk controls proactively identifying and mitigating reputational risk.
Key requirements
- Significant experience delivering high-profile events for HNW/UHNW audiences within Private Banking or Wealth Management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence influencing senior leaders and working effectively across a global matrix.
- Proven capability in budget ownership, vendor negotiation, and agency management, delivering high-quality outcomes at pace.
- Solid understanding of legal, regulatory, and reputational risk considerations in event marketing.
- Excellent project management skills, able to manage complex logistics, multiple workstreams, and competing priorities with calm control.
- Creative, client-centric mindset with a track record of innovating event experiences; digital marketing/channel awareness is desirable.
