Our prestigious independent school in Bexley is seeking a highly skilled and motivated School Business Manager to join their leadership team from January 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity to oversee the financial, administrative, and operational aspects of a well-established independent school known for academic excellence and a supportive learning environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the school's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, and staff development
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, and statutory regulations
- Develop and implement policies to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate closely with the Headteacher and Governors to support strategic planning
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a School Business Manager or in a senior school administration role
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets in an educational setting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work proactively and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Understanding of independent school structures and Ofsted-related compliance
