Responsibilities

  • Designing and delivering engaging English lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum
  • Developing and implementing differentiated teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and coordinate cross-curricular activities and events
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and student engagement
  • Assessing student performance using various methods, such as exams, projects, and class participation
  • Communicating with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
  • Experience teaching English in a primary or secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and pedagogical approaches
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and cater to individual student needs
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with educational trends and best practices
