Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities

· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 5 pupils.
· Assess and monitor pupil progress, using outcomes to inform future planning.
· Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages curiosity and resilience.
· Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop curriculum resources and share best practice.
· Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.
· Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide activities.

Year 5 Teacher Requirements

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
· Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally Year 5.
· Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
· Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
· Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.
