About the role:
The Cleaning Supervisor will be the operational supervisor of the cleaning workforce responsible for supervising all aspects of the daily cleaning operation and ensuring service excellence is delivered in a world class university.
The Supervisor will ensure that all cleaning is delivered safely and in line with both college and departmental standards and that they and their team work collaboratively respecting Kings values and Fit for Kings behaviours.
The supervisor will undertake a substantial proportion of frontline cleaning duties whilst providing a hands-on approach in supporting the team and show a clear understanding of how to deliver the cleaning standards they expect from others.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 6pm till 9pm
This is a part time post (15 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- A good understanding of what is required to be an effective supervisor.
- Good English language communication skills, including the ability to understand and respond to instructions both written and verbal.
- Good customer service skills with an understanding of customer expectations and how these can be met
- Experience in a supervisor role.
- Good cleaning experience with both equipment and machinery
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Good teamwork skills.
- Confident in delivering training sessions to the team
- Good understanding of safe working practices including COSHH and colour coding
Desirable criteria
- BICs Licence to practice
- Cleaning related qualifications
- First Aid
- Spanish speaker
- Good understanding of auditing and using audit systems to monitor cleaning standards
