A little more about your role:

The Senior Project Engineer will play an important role in engineering and technical matters associated with offshore wind projects with a particular focus on offshore substations and WTG foundations. This is a key growth area for WSP and offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and resourceful engineer to help drive and realise the company's offshore wind strategy. The role will work across engineering and design, Owner's Engineering and smaller scopes, requiring strong leadership and the ability to manage complex projects. The role requires flexibility to work across all work packages and, at times, support consultancy and strategic advisory projects in support of business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on smaller commissions and take on key positions such as Project Manager or Technical Lead.
  • Support the Engineering Manager in developing and implementing new processes and procedures to streamline efficient delivery execution.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the offshore wind sector, contributing to the growth of the engineering function. Represent the company in technical discussions with stakeholders including clients, regulatory bodies and industry partners.
  • Lead and contribute to the development of bids and proposals with a particular focus on technical content.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant technical regulations, standards and best practices.
  • Manage technical budgets, schedules and resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, asset management, advisory and environmental teams.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in offshore wind technology and incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate:

  • An established network in the offshore wind industry.
Other highly advantageous experience to demonstrate could include:
  • Experience in detailed design, fabrication or transport and installation.
