Chief Reporter, Inside Housing in City of London

Trade Title Inside Housing is looking to hire a chief reporter to join its award-winning editorial team. This is an opportunity for you to progress your reporting career and build your profile. The job will give you the chance to work in one of the most important and busiest fields in journalism, reporting on stories that have a wide-reaching impact. We’re looking for a chief reporter who will help us with our coverage on a range of topics such as welfare, the ongoing fallout from the Grenfell Tower disaster and government efforts to solve the housing crisis. The role is also likely to involve getting to grips with social housing finance and the business side of the sector.
Responsibilities
- You will work as part of the reporting team on Inside Housing to deliver exclusive stories and analysis to our readers. Your role will include:
- Writing exclusive and compelling off-diary news stories across the magazine and the website
- Contributing ideas for and writing features and news analysis
- Carrying out investigations for news and features
- Running patches and keeping informed about events, trends and issues affecting our core readership of housing professionals

Inside Housing is looking for someone with previous experience working in journalism and a strong record of delivering high quality new stories. The job is the ideal opportunity for someone looking to expand their career by working on a high-profile trade title.
