Higher Level Teaching Assistant - SATs Support (Richmond) SATs are approaching, which has opened up an exciting opportunity for a 3-month contract supporting Year 6 pupils in a lovely primary school in Barnes. This role offers the chance to lead targeted interventions within a vibrant year 6 classroom and boost pupil confidence, with the potential to extend the placement for the right candidate. SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a brilliant primary school in Barnes (Richmond Upon Thames), seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support with the upcoming SATs exams! This role will require you to lead interventions across numeracy and literacy supporting pupils to strengthen key skills. The school is known locally for its supportive leadership team, engaged children and strong academic outcomes, making it a fantastic environment for an experienced HLTA, and an excellent addition to any CV. You Will Be... Leading small group SATs intervention sessions in Maths, Reading and SPaG Supporting pupils who need additional help consolidating core skills, in addition to those who can be extended to achieve the best results Assisting with revision sessions, practice exams Supporting with pastoral care - some pupils in the class are feeling overwhelmed by the impending examinations so this role requires sensitivity and a genuine passion for supporting emotional well-being Supporting the class teacher with planning and preparation of intervention work Benefits Competitive rate of £107 to £130 per day PAYE - no deductions from use of umbrella Access to other SATs roles through SANZA Teaching Agency and Tradewind Recruitment with one registration Flexible working options including long-term opportunities Free CPD and training through The National College (Government-accredited courses) for further education and training Opportunity to secure long-term or permanent school role through this placement Job Requirements HLTA experience or strong TA background - open to considering confident applicants with strong academic background Confident leading small-group SATs interventions in Maths and English. Strong communication and experience supporting KS2 pupils.
