This is a LIVE IN OR LIVE OUT driving nanny role with wrap around care term time taking both shared care and sole charge of 2 children; B6.5 and G4 with full time hours will be needed over 20 weeks in school holidays.

The suitable candidate will have experience working with pre-primary and primary school age children and be happy to work collaboratively with mum when necessary/she is at home splitting children to maximise outcome for both. The right fit is someone who has a genuine love for children and interest in their development who can help them reach their full potential in a fun and engaging way. Someone bright, fun and organised with a passion for Early Years education and can teach children independence and help build confidence.

While children are school, the nanny will have some time to cook healthy balanced meals, carry out child related housekeeping duties, maintain and organised environment and run errands including shopping for groceries. The nanny should be a self-starter who can take initiative, someone who is energetic, interested in the children and interesting to the children. The family are looking for a nanny who can offer additional hours in the school holidays and is able to coordinate playdates and initiate fun engaging activities that reinforce the children’s learning at school.

It is important for the nanny to have clear communication skills as well as a calm demeanor and positive attitude. The children are very well behaved and enjoy sports, arts and crafts, imaginative play, reading playing outdoors and being sociable. The nanny should continue to encourage the children’s love of learning and help with supervising homework. The nanny needs to be a safe and confident UK driver.

The right candidate must have an up to date DBS. First Aid, Fluent English. Excellent references.
Duties include, but not limited to:
• School collection by car
• Preparing children’s meals and cleaning up afterwards
• Reading with children
• Helping and encouraging homework
• Playing with toys, carrying out arts and crafts
• Taking children to parks, playgrounds, museums and galleries
• Encouraging learning and development through different activities
• Ensuring play areas are tidy and organised and toys have been put away
• Reinforcing kindness and good manners
• Child related housekeeping duties such as children’s linen, laundry, bedrooms as well as keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.
• Ad hoc errands for the broader household (dishwasher, post office, shops, etc)
