A high-performing secondary academy in Southwark is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead their human resources function ASAP . This is a full-time, permanent role overseeing HR strategy, operations, and compliance across the academy.

About the Role
The HR Manager will manage all aspects of HR within the academy, ensuring compliance with employment law, effective recruitment, and strong staff support.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes
• Managing HR policies, procedures, and staff records
• Advising senior leadership on employment law and HR issues
• Supporting performance management and staff development
• Overseeing payroll, contracts, and HR reporting
• Promoting a positive workplace culture and staff wellbeing
Candidate Requirements
• Proven experience in HR management, ideally within education
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
• Proactive, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with HR systems and school administration desirable
