Patent Paralegal – London
A leading intellectual property firm is seeking an experienced Patent Paralegal to join its highly regarded Life Sciences team. This full-time position is based in the London office, with hybrid working available. The role will initially provide maternity cover, supporting a small group of Partners and Associates, before transitioning into a permanent role within the wider team. You will have a minimum of four years’ experience in patent support or secretarial work and will be confident working with minimal supervision in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing full secretarial and administrative support to a team of Partners and Associates
- Managing caseloads and diary deadlines
- Handling client correspondence and emails
- Preparing and uploading new filings and responses using EPO OLF 1.0 and 2.0
- Managing WIP charges through Inprotech
- Coordinating monthly billing and e-billing processes
- Drafting standard letters and assisting with portfolio management tasks
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in patent support/secretarial work
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work proactively and independently
- Experience with Inprotech and e-billing preferred
- CIPA IP Paralegal (IPPC) qualification is desirable
